FarmWorkers rally for overtime pay on Long Island.

Activists marched on Long Island last week, to commemorate Cesar Chavez, the labor rights advocate, whose activism is commemorated by a national holiday.

The Farmworker Fair Labor Practices Act, would entitle farmworkers to overtime payments and collective bargaining, but it has been languishing in the Assembly for 15 years.

Long Island has an estimated 5,000 farmworkers, on farms and vineyards.
