A new investigative unit, staffed by five inspectors will be cracking down on illegal daycare centers in NYC. The death of a 3-month old baby at an illegal daycare center last Monday prompted the investigation. The day of the incident the daycare had 15 children, 3 children more then legally permitted in NYC.
The New York State Office of Children and Family services is investigating the death along side the New York City Health Department.
