Cristina graduated New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2000, after graduation she was a Fulbright Scholar in Manila, Philippines in 2000.  She went on to study law at Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  She received her Juris Doctorate in 2007.  While attending law school, she was a Law Review Associate Editor for the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law.  She is barred in the state of Illinois 2007, New York 2008, and New Jersey in 2014.  She is also admitted to federal practice in the Southern District of New York, Eastern District New York and the District of New Jersey.

Cristina manages the New Jersey Workers Compensation Department. She advises and educates injured and disabled workers throughout New Jersey. Her focus is on educating workers as to their rights if they should become injured or disabled. She regularly lectures on behalf of many labor unions and labor advocate groups throughout the state.

Cristina also concentrates her practice on New Jersey personal injury litigation, including claims of premises liability, motor vehicle, improper supervision, and claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act and the Federal Civil Rights Act. Cristina’s practice includes managing pre-suit diligence to filing the complaint, all phases of discovery to favorable settlements, including overseeing and approval of million dollar structured settlements, trial and post-trial work.

Cristina has extensive experience drafting and oral argument of motions for summary judgment, defending claims filed against the government, and motions for approval of attorney fees in excess of two-million dollars pursuant to NJ R. 1:21-7(c)(5).

Cristina also represents the Firm pro se in ERISA subrogation litigation where claimants assert priority liens over the Firm’s attorney fees.

Prior to specializing in New Jersey workers compensation and personal injury, Cristina spent the early part of her career in the Firm’s General Legal Department managing New York and New Jersey bankruptcy & financial restructuring matters and out of court workouts; wills, trusts & estates; commercial litigation and compliance; and employment law arbitrations.

Cristina is a member of the Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. New Jersey Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court, New Jersey State Bar Women Lawyers Association, and is a Top 40 under 40 National Trial Lawyer.

On her off time, she volunteers in the Hoboken School District where she is the head of the Needs Assessment Committee for the Hoboken Early Childhood Advisory Council. Cristina has also advised Hudson County small businesses on corporate formation matters, 501(c)(3) non-profit formation and compliance, day care code compliance, department of building rules and zoning compliance.
