Carl Raffa graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Philosophy and Political Science, respectively. Soon after completing his Undergraduate Education, Carl entered Albany Law School in 2015. During law school, Carl was an active member of the Albany Government Law Review. Carl also participated in Albany Law’s Moot Court program, where he and his partner were Quarter-finalists in the Karen C. McGovern Senior Prize Trials Competition. Carl earned his Juris Doctorate in 2018 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in May 2019.
While at Albany Law School, Carl served as a Law Clerk at the New York State Bar Association’s Publications Department in Albany, New York where he edited and contributed research to publications, including the New York Lawyers’ Practical Skills Series, Medical Malpractice in New York, Fourth Edition, and LEGALEase Pamphlet Series. Simultaneously, he served as an Intern at the Health Law Clinic representing clients with terminal illnesses dealing with various legal issue under a Student Practice Order.
Prior to joining FOA, Carl worked as an Attorney at a Medical Malpractice defense firm where he handled Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury cases for doctors and hospitals throughout Long Island.
Carl joined FOA in November 2019 as a Worker’s Compensation attorney. Carl comes from a Union Strong family and is truly dedicated to fighting for injured workers’ rights. He prides himself on using his expertise to be an advocate for his clients.
Carl currently resides in Queens and enjoys spending time playing and writing music. He also enjoys cooking and taking in all the culture that NYC has to offer.
