A mass tort is a group civil action where plaintiffs with a common claim pursue legal action against a common defendant in a State or Federal court. Mass torts are filed by representatives of a group who have suffered injuries that are due to a corporation’s negligence or irresponsibility. Currently, there are Mass Tort actions against Juul/Commonly Used Vaping Products and the pharmaceutical companies who manufacturer Zantac and Elmiron.
