Driving too fast for the conditions is always dangerous. Add in being distracted it is a recipe for a crash. That is exactly what happened in Ferdonia, in Chautauqua County when a driver crashed into the rear of a CSEA member working for Ferdonia College while he was working one day. The crash caused a serious injury to his neck and he needed surgery to repair the damage. His local President suggested he call FOA and we were happy to make sure his Workers’ Compensation was properly filed. In addition, we pursued a claim against the driver who crashed into him. Ultimately, the insurance company offered their full $250,000 policy and the case was settled without a trial.
