Fast Food Workers Rally for Higher Minimum Wage

On Monday, June 15th hundreds of fast food workers rallied in Manhattan, demanding minimum wage be increased to $15 per hour. Currently, the minimum wage for fast food employees is $8.75 per hour, which will rise to $9.00 at the end of the year.

The workers joined a board meeting which was constructed by Governor Andrew Cuomo. Experts and Business owners shared their insights and views regarding fair wages. A consensus has yet to be reached.
