New York’s Minimum Wage for Tipped Workers Will Increase to $7.50.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo has announced that all employees who work for tips will soon see a raise of their minimum wage to $7.50 per hour. Currently there is a huge discrepancy in wages for workers in this category, with wages ranging from $4.90 – $5.65 per hour. This new wage will consolidate three categories of tipped workers, and it set to go into effect before the end of the year.
