Authorities are actively investigating the cause of a devastating explosion in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
According to officials at approximately 8am on Wednesday, November 11th a blast was reported on Magnolia Avenue, not far from Newark-Liberty International airport.
The explosion killed one and injured over a dozen people. The cause of the explosion has yet to be determined.
The local gas company reports after initial investigations there is no indication of any gas-related causes however neighbors and residents did report smelling gas prior to the explosion.
