On January 8th, 2016 a State Trooper traveling South on I-87 was struck by another vehicle. Both the trooper and the other driver sustained injuries in the crash.
The incident occurred in high traffic area of 1-87 in Yonkers. The trooper was heading North on the interstate, made a U-turn, and was struck by a Honda that was simultaneously exiting an EZ-Pass lane.
Both drivers were transported to an area hospital. The driver of the Honda has been charged with a traffic violation.
