Any worker knows falling from a ladder can have devastating consequences. Unfortunately, that is precisely what happened to our client on a Suffolk County job site. He was working alone on a 15’ foot ladder when he felt the feet begin to slip, sending him crashing to the ground. Before the fall occurred, our client expressed concerns to the foreman about completing the difficult job without the assistance of another worker, yet the foreman did not provide any assistance. The foreman also failed to provide any safety equipment (other than a hardhat). Our client suffered a fractured wrist, elbow, and serious abrasions due to the fall. Attorney Michael Feldman was able to prove the contractor’s negligence and settled the case for $925,000.
