Fall Down Accident on Manhattan Job site, $600,000 Settlement

Our client was on a Manhattan job site that was noticeably unsafe. He warned the general contractor and foreman several times about equipment repeatedly being left scattered around the job site. Even though a cluttered, disorganized job site poses obvious risks for a fall down accident, neither the general contractor nor the foreman did anything about it. Our client was installing marble panel flooring when he stepped backward onto an angle iron that had been left out. He fell down and severely injured his back. His injuries required surgery and ongoing treatment.  Had the general contractor or foreman listened to our client’s concerns his injuries could have been prevented. Attorney Linda Armatti-Epstein settled this case for $600,000.
